Data shows that in 2024, the area of water-saving irrigation projects in my country reached 638 million mu (approximately 42.9 million hectares), with drip irrigation and micro-sprinkler irrigation exceeding 100 million mu (approximately 6.6 million hectares), and the effective utilization coefficient of irrigation water rose to 0.580. The widespread application of BeiDou positioning, the Internet of Things, and AI algorithms enables equipment to be automatically adjusted and remotely controlled, achieving water-saving rates generally ranging from 30% to 60%. Smart irrigation is moving from demonstration to widespread adoption, becoming a key support for stable agricultural production and income growth, and green development.
